  1. Day 1Arrive Cochin

    Meeting & Assistance on arrival at Cochin airport by Indian Horizons representative and transfer to Hotel. On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. a) Traditional Indian Welcome on arrival

  2. Day 2In Cochin

    Morning after breakfast proceed for half-day guided city tour of Cochin visiting The Dutch Palace, Portuguese Churches, Mosques, Hindu temples, Fort Cochin, still keeping alive its ancient Jew tradition, St. Francis Church, Jew’s street and the Chinese fishing nets at Fort Cochin. In the evening enjoy Katthakali dance show – a traditional art form of Kerala. The interesting part would be seeing the dress up of the performers before the dance. The way they colour themselves with natural products collected from the nature. Our guide would brief you of this traditional dance and about the performers. Overnight at hotel.

  3. Day 3 Cochin / Munnar (130 kms / 03 hrs)

    Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Munnar - the most tranquil town in Kerala. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Munnar. Start you day for the encounter with the town famous for the tea plantations. Walk into the tea estates to profit the nature & the greenry of the place. Explore the picturesque hill station including Anaimudi (2,695 m), South India’s highest peak, the Christ Church, the Evarikulam National Park, the Rajamala Hills, Top Station and the Madupetty Dam. In the evening, stroll around the incredible mountainous terrains. One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Overnight at hotel.

  4. Day 4 Munnar / Periyar (110 kms / 03 hrs)

    Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Periyar. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon visit Spice Village located in the Periyar wilderness, high in the western ghats of Kerala. Pepper and cardamom, cinnamon and ginger, nutmeg, mace and anise the Periyar hills became nature's taste factory in the 14th century, as Cochin became nature's harbour, the port of lading for a spice-hungry world. It’s the rainforests, the animals and the vast silences that attract the modern visitor. On the road to Spice Village, it's easy to feel this centuries-old allure yourself. The earth boils in a fertile outpouring, every conceivable shade of green, flecked with the crimson and gold of mountain flowers. This is a world of forests patterned in dappled sunlight. Plantations of rubber, coffee and spice. Rolling highlands and crisp, cool air. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.

  5. Day 5 Periyar (Thekkady)

    Early morning visit the Periyar wildlife sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a permanent source of water for the local wildlife. Apart from Elephants, the other animals to be seen in the Periyar sanctuary are Gaur, Wild Pigs, Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Dole or Indian Wild Dog and very rarely, a Tiger. There are, now, an estimated 40 tigers here. Four species of primates are found at Periyar - the rare lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri Langur, Common Langur and Bonnet Macaque. Periyar also happens to be the habitat of the elusive Nilgiri Tahr. Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast free for leisure.

  6. Day 6 Periyar (Thekkady) / Kumarakom (170 kms / 04 hrs)

    Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Kumarkom a beautiful backwater village. Kumarakom situated on the banks of the giant lake named as Vembanadu. On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for your own activities with options to either relax yourself with the rejunavating Ayurvedic massage at the hotel or by making your trip more vulnerable and adventurus by visiting bird Sanctuary and boating in vembanadu lake.

  7. Day 7Kumarakom / Alleppey Jetty (51 kms / 1.5 hrs) – Alleppey Board

    Morning after breakfast drive till the Alleppey Jetty to board the houseboat. Lunch at Houseboat. Alleppey is known as the Venice of the East has a largest network of Canals and is a centre for backwater cruises in Kerala. Large number of tourist are attracted to this district because of its boat races, houseboat. Your houseboat will take you for a Cruise around backwater villages of Alleppey. The cozy double bedroom, the sit - out, the sundeck, the well stocked kitchen and the modern toilette give the guests a feeling of being at home in the lovely waters. Dinner at Houseboat. Overnight on Houseboat.

  8. Day 8Alleppey / Kovalam (175kms/4hrs) – En-route visit Trivandrum

    Morning after breakfast drive by surface to Kovalam - the most tranquil town in Kerala. En-route visit Trivandrum. A long shoreline, with internationally reowned beaches, historic monuments, backwaters stretches and a rich cultural heritage make this district a much sought after tourist destination. Visit the southern part of town called Fort Area that is the oldest and the most interesting part of the town. Here you can visit Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built in Dravidian style of sculpture and architecture. Next you can visit Puttan Malika Palace is the important showcases for paintings, crafts and sculpture. Later drive to Kovalam. On arrival check into hotel.     Morning after breakfast full day free for leisure to enjoy the sun and ambiance of some of the most beautiful bathing beaches in the world or Ayurveda meditation (No Transport).

  10. Day 10Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam (90kms/2hrs – one way)

    Morning after breakfast proceeds for full day excursion sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari - lands end of India where the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal. Visit Vivekananda Temple - erected to commemorate the evening of December 25, 1892, when Swami Vivekananda visited Kanyakumari as a pilgrim and swam to the rock in the sea and spent the whole night there in deep meditation. Only after that, he resolved to serve his Motherland and spread the message of Vedanta, also visit the other attractions of Kanya – Kumaria, Gand Madpam, Kanyakumari Mandir in Trisamundr.   12. Day 12Kovalam / Trivandrum (15kms/0.5hrs) / Mumbai (By Air- 9W-337, Dep-1335, Arr-1550)

    Morning after breakfast free to relax at hotel or leisure activities. Later drive by surface to Trivandrum. On arrival at Trivandrum you will be transferred to airport to board flight for Mumbai. Meeting & Assistance on arrival at Mumbai airport by Indian Horizons representative and transfer to hotel. On arrival check into hotel.   13. Day 13 Mumbai (Elephanta Caves & Local sightseeing)

    Morning after breakfastm proceed for half-day excursion to Elephanta caves. This Unesco world Heritage site is situated just 10 kms away from the Mumbai city. Transfer (both the ways) to the elephanta caves from The Gatway of India Jetty. The island, located on an arm of the Arabian Sea, consists of two groups of caves - the first is a large group of five Hindu caves, the second, and a smaller group of two Buddhist caves. The Hindu caves contain rock cut stone sculptures, representing the Shaiva Hindu sect, dedicated to the god Shiva.

    Later in the afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai visiting Prince of Whales- The lovely landscape of the Museum is worth visiting for its collection of art, sculpture, rare coins, old firearms and a priceless collection of miniature paintings. Gateway of India- Situated at the Apollo Bunder, the Gateway of India was built in honour of King George V and Queen. Kamla Nehru Park- Perched at the top of picturesque Malabar Hill, With greenery all around and well-maintained and manicured garden, the Kamala Nehru Park is the place where you could chill out with your dear ones in perfect peace. The Mahalaxmi Temple- Dedicated to Mahalaxmi, the goddess of wealth. Haji ali Mosque- This is The Haji Ali Dargah, the floating tomb of a wealthy Mohammedan merchant who renounced his worldly ways before embarking on a pilgrimage to Mecca.   14. Day 14Mumbai Depart

    Morning after breakfast free at hotel till noon (No Transport). Afternoon check-out from hotel and proceed for shopping at local bazaar till departure. Mumbai city is a shopaholic's paradise. Tourists visiting Mumbai can spend lazy afternoon hours browsing through the display window of the various malls. The eminent shopping areas in Mumbai include downtown Mumbai, Colaba, Dadar, Bandra, Juhu and Linking Road etc.
